I’m J.D. Russel I’m the president CEO of HPS Management.
Well, the best thing is, it works and when I say it works it really works. The different components do come together and it makes everything work together. From being able to answer customer questions to having accounting that’s easily reconcilable very quickly. And that’s important in our business is being able to account where money is going, being able to be transparent, having people be able to see what we’re doing, so that our board of directors and our home owners know that we’re being responsive with the issues that they have. From violation letters to just communication, it’s really an all-inclusive software that really works well for us.
We had transitioned from an antiquated software platform that just wasn’t able to meet the needs as we grew. We thought that we were going to be coming into something that was going to work very well for us. When we got into the details after the first couple months, the software system had completely failed. When it failed, we had boards that were ready to leave us. We weren’t able to meet the needs of our homeowners and it was really a dark three months in our company’s history. We knew that the company wasn’t going to be able to resolve the problems.
They weren’t getting back to us. There was no communication from between them and us, as to when we would have resolution to these issues. And as the leader of a company employing 36 people and covering about 25,000 homes you get very scared about your business’s future, your reputation and a lot of things are at stake.
We reached out to CINC, they flew out to us. They came right to us with in, I think, two days. They were boots on the ground. They’re helping us, showing us what we could do. And we were able to very quickly transition the software. They were able to divert some of their staff and within about 14 days we were able to make that transition with in a 14-day period and have all the basic functions that we needed to have done. To basically solve all the issues that we hadn’t been able to do for the previous three months. So I would describe CINC as a lifesaver for us. It was a platform that they kept our company intact when everything else was going wrong. They were the light that led us to safety. So, we appreciate it.
We think theirs is a real partnership that it exists. We’re not just taking a coded program in a box coming to us that we’re going to work, you know, that we have to figure out how to make it work for us, we can communicate. We can have a partnership and work within that software it’s living breathing evolving software that grows with our company. And that is growing with the times and the evolving industry that is community management. Because if you’re not evolving and changing with the business and with what is going on in our industry you’re gonna get left behind.
There’s nothing that makes you feel better than how they’re working with someone who gets it. I mean you know you work with a lot of people in business it doesn’t matter what business you’re in there’s a lot of folks that you work with at all sorts of different levels. And you can work with people that are are highly engaged and then other people that are not so highly engaged. And to work with a team of people that are highly engaged that care deeply. it’s a partnership. And that’s what it felt like it and having that been our third software vendor just in a couple months.
That was the difference we knew that they were engaged. We knew that they cared and the partnership was really there between us. And that was amazing. I would recommend CINC to any management company that wants to provide the best services to their communities. It is truly the software package that covers everything that you need to be the effective great community manager
